When your child joins our school, they will be exposed to new ideas and concepts in a safe and fun learning environment. Your child will make new friends, learn to count, spell, read, play the violin, tennis, play golf, etc. to explore creativity, numeracy, literacy, science, physical development, social interaction, and technology through playing and learning opportunities in a structured and high-quality early childhood education programme.

There are 3 aspects of our curriculum that make us unique:

1. Arts and creativity: Our children participated in the English Drama Competition and took 1st place. We also exhibit in international events like the Modern Art Oxford Gallery and Children's Arts Festival in Hong Kong.

2. Science and technology: Through trips, our NASA space camp, scientist talks, and interest activities like our STEM day or dinosaur fossil excavation camp, we engage children in science.

3. Language program: We emphasize cultural context in language learning — through letter exchanges, video conferences, and seasonal projects with schools around the world.

We specifically cater for children aged 2 to 6 years old. Children are admitted once a year at the beginning of the Autumn Term, but we do grant late admission in special cases. Parents who wish to apply should fill in the requisite forms and arrange for an interview as early as possible.

Due to the large number of interested parents in recent years, we have decided to allow parents submit application forms once their child has been born to help lessen the administrative load of the admissions office. Parents who wish to submit at-birth should apply online (we are unable to process paper application for at-birth applications at the moment).

We also have a variety of programs to suit different needs.

Our school adopts an “open door” policy. Class teachers are in constant contact with parents to ensure they are fully informed of their child’s development.

While academics are important, we understand that there is more to a good education than just studies. Hence, sports are also an important aspect. Not only does it help with exercising our body, it is also an irreplaceable subject that shapes character and cultivates confidence, perseverance and courage. As such, at St. Lorraine, we believe that there is no better way to build leadership, teamwork, and character than with sports and physical education. As Michael Jordan, the famous American NBA basketball player often says, “Talent can win games, but teamwork and intelligence wins’ championships”.

Tennis

In short, we treat sport as important as academic subjects. Our tennis program introduces children aged 3–6 to the ABCs of tennis, using specialized equipment (such as high density foam balls to minimize impact) and regulation mini-tennis courts.

Violin

Our violin curriculum is based on the National College of Music (London) preparatory syllabus. Children learn to play and perform together in our campus orchestra. Children can then choose to take graded examinations if they so wish.
