Unlike many international schools which implement a watered-down or simplified Chinese curriculum, St. Lorraine places an overriding emphasis on our Chinese syllabus. Indeed, our Chinese curriculum is designed in a way to ensure that all of our students' Chinese will far exceed the standard of those in local schools.
As educators and guardians of our children, we have to recognise the importance of both Cantonese and Mandarin in shaping their futures and their national identities. Our Chinese curriculum is benchmarked against external examinations such as the General Aptitude Putonghua Shuiping Kaoshi (GAPSK), a territory-wide recognised standard for primary schools in Hong Kong.
